The Bonhams auction at The 18th Carole Nash Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show attracted a huge amount of interest, starting with a 1955 DB34 Gold Star BSA which made £7200

The first motorcycle in the sale, the 1955 DB34 Gold Star BSA which was last on the road in 1968 and in need of a full restoration, made £7200 - well over its estimate. While the biggest sale of the weekend, the Brough Superior SS100 'Moby Dick', made a huge £190,000 under the hammer. View the video to get a taster of the auction

Elsewhere, biking enthusiasts turned up in their droves. The venue again for the 18th Carole Nash Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show was the Stafford County Showground, over the sunny weekend of October 15-16. There were attractions aplenty, and we were blessed with the presence of one of the true greats of racing: three-time 500cc World Champion Wayne Rainey! Wayne gave interviews and tirelessly signed books and images for show-goers.

What the Show's all about...
With the emphasis firmly on motorcycles from the 60's, 70's, and 80's; the Carole Nash Classic Motorcycle Mechanics show is getting bigger and better each year. With more than 30,000 enthusiasts demonstrating the growing popularity in motorcycles from this era it really would be a shame to miss it. Also the amazing Wall of Death will be back, where they will be doing their breath taking shows throughout the weekend.
