Electric starter conversion for Norton Commando

Latest from Brittany, north-west France based Alton is this ‘eKit’ electric start conversion for the Norton Commando, taking the strain out of firing up the big twin with the conventional kickstart mechanism...

It fits directly onto the engine via a specially designed inner chaincase supplied with the starter motor already mounted. It’s reckoned it only takes a couple of hours to fit, while it’s discreet enough, so that no one will notice.

The kit includes starter motor, drive chain, sprag clutch, shock absorber, AC generator and a specially constructed inner primary chain case plus all the necessary cables and fittings plus detailled instructions with colour illustrations to make fitting the kit as easy as possible.

The company also offer elecrtic start conversion kits for Velocettes.
