Royal Enfield dealers revisit company's spiritual home

Royal Enfield dealers from as far afield as Cornwall and Newcastle-upon-Tyne enjoyed a sun-kissed 120-mile ride around the Malvern Hills, as part of the company’s annual conference

Their trip included a visit to their spiritual home in Redditch. Little of the original factory remains, so the lunch stop was at the Royal Enfield pub, formerly the town’s old cinema.

“It was all about our dealers riding the current bikes in their natural environment,” said UK sales director Ben Matthews. “They attracted huge interest wherever we went, with people of all ages chatting whenever we stopped, and because the bikes return around 80mpg, it didn’t cost us a fortune!” The day concluded with an informal awards dinner. BVM Moto, Stroud, Glos, took best dealer, Bude-based North Cornwall Motorcycles took largest increase in sales and Paul Dedman Performance, from the Isle of Man, was awarded best new dealer.
