The 'Dr' Rod Gibson 2012 Memorial Run will take place on Saturday 23rd of June and departs from three different places, converging at the National Youthbike Finals weekend Bike Show being held at the Sir William Robertson School, Welbourn, Lincolnshire...

Former editor of Classic Motorcycle Mechanics, Rod Gibson, sadly no longer with us, gained the affectionate 'Doctor' nickname because of his mechanical prowess in the workshop and the advisory role he played in the Men & Motors television series. The memorial run is a tribute to Rod and a great day out for bikers.

The departure places will be the White Hart Public house, Tetford at ten o’clock, calling in at Morton’s Car park Horncastle (to be confirmed) before setting off to the final venue at the Sir William Robertson High School Just outside of the village of Leadenham.

Departure venue two will be from the Lincs Bikes & Trikes shop in Grimsby. This group will also set off at ten o'clock and proceed to Lincoln where they will meet up with Lincoln bikers at the Grandstand car park (the start of place three), before setting off to the final venue.

There will be a small charge of two pounds per person which will be shared between the National Youthbike charity and the National Association for Bikers with Disabilities.

Trophies will be awarded to the best classic British bike, best custom bike, best pre-1950 bike and best Japanese classic. We are looking for sponsors for these trophies.

If you feel you could help out with sponsorship or just need more information, please contact Tony Nightingale on 01507 527835
