For BSA Gold Star DBD34/DB34 and DB32, they are made from EN40B steel and prior to heat treatment they undergo hot isostatic pressing (HIP). This system makes the rockers very strong. John has extensively tested the rockers in his race engines without any problems and loaded them up to 2.5 times the normal working pressure used in Gold Stars.
