The CB750 forks have bushes in each leg, one at the bottom of the stanchion and one pressed into the top of the slider. To separate the two halves of the fork leg I'm now pulling the stanchion up in the slider like a slide hammer to progressively knock the top bush upwards out of the slider. Eventually it comes free and the two halves of the fork leg are split
