Two Stroke oil.

Postby gt-keith » Sat Apr 07, 2012 1:11 pm

Hi all,
I've been using Castrol "TT" two stroke oil in my Suzuki GT380 for the last few years, now my local Tesco has stopped selling it I thought I'd look at alternatives.

What do you 'stink wheels' riders recommend ?

I'd like something low smoke as I tend to run the oil pump a little rich, cost is not too important as I only do about 500 mls a year

Thanks in advance.

I'd use a decentish synthetic 2T oil, summat from Halfrauds will be fine, there's no point in going for the really expensive stuff.
Also, I'd lean off the pump a bit, there's really no point in running in running it rich.
I'd also do more than 500 miles a year, you don't want the crank seals drying up !

With too much oil, there's less petrol, so you're actually running it weak.
