Why did the email confirming my freebie subscription to MCM have the subject line :

TMG,

That's our new email welcome letter :) - With a launch bug included! (nothing to do with this site BTW)
I think they've now corrected the Subject line of welcome emails to something more generic. System was using the first sub it found to label the email, rather than the sub just taken out....

Freebie Alert!
We have 100 of the new Oxford Clean Grips (so new they're not yet on the Oxford website!) to give away.
Ideal for the rider who likes to tinker with their bikes. You wrap them around your grips when you are working on the bike, to avoid any oil or solvents from getting onto the rubber grips. RRP £3.99

Thanks for that heads up. Just what I needed as I'm refurbishing one of my stable this year and the grips are pretty bad. Thank you again.

They're not real grips !
They're just a thing to keep your existing grips clean while you're messing about with your bike - once you've finished fettling, you take them off.
They seem a bit pointless to me, but since they're free I'll give them a go.

I see, ah well, like you say freebies are freebies, and they'll keep my new grips clean when I put them on then. Or maybe I'll use them on my shiny Ascot, I'd sure never pay out good money to buy the things then. Best get down to keeping my finger crossed that the GB500 comes my way then.

Sorry, the GB500 is mine !

Still lots of Grip Condoms available - it told me there were 56 so I assume 55 left now. They're free, so what are you all waiting for ? ;-)

hi All,

Just an update on the Oxford Grips - we had to wait until this one closed before we sent off the list to Oxford so they can post them out - just in case you're wondering why they haven't turned up quite as quickly as we normally manage!

As for the competition bike - we have ANOTHER to give away coming up - Tim Britton's project Can-Am 250!! News and the features describing the rebuild will be appearing on the main CBC site very shortly.
